Ice Climbing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing and/ or Mountaineering
Friday to Sunday - January 15 to 17, 2010

Saturday: Option A - Full Day of Ice Climbing:
(All Levels of experience welcome)

At one of many many different locations in Keene Valley/ Lake Placid region.
We provide all technical gear. Course participants will need to provide a day pack and appropriate clothing.

Saturday: Option B - Day of Snow Shoeing and/ or Cross Country Skiing
Full Day Outing: until everyone is tired and/ or ready for hot chocolate.


Sunday: Option A - One-Day Ascent of Mt. Marcy:
Mount Marcy, at 5,344 ft (1,629 m), is the highest mountain in the Adirondack Mountain Range and the highest point in New York State. It is a popular destination for hikers due to its stature and great views. The mountain is located in the heart of the Adirondack High Peaks Region in the High Peaks Wilderness Area.

You will learn general mountaineering skills, winter navigation and avalanche awareness in this popular one-day trip.
No previous mountaineering experience is required to register. However, participants should be physically prepared and well equipped for a rigorous all day experience.

Sunday: Option B - Snow Shoeing to Marcy Dam:
Intermediate Snow Shoeing Expedition to Marcy Dam - 4 mile r/t, rolling hills

Sunday: Option C - Lake Placid
Visit to Lake Placid; Ice Skating, Shopping, or just enjoying brunch and taking in this pristine Olympic village.

Monday: Option A & B - Additional Day of Ice Climbing or Mountaineering

Monday: Option C - Lake Placid
Brunch in town, shopping, day at leisure, etc...

Included:
- Fully licensed & insured Guides
- All Technical Gear! Mountaineering boots, crampons and ice axe, helmet, etc

- Round Trip Transportation, Accommodations in Private Country Home, Breakfasts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)

Activity Options:
- Full day of Ice Climbing and/or Mountaineering: $100 each
- Skiing/ Snow Boarding at cost of Lift Tickets
- Cross Country Skiing (additional day) $50
- Snow Shoeing (additional day) $50
- Snowmobile, etc; at cost of rental equipment...

Departure: Friday, January 15: 5.45 PM
Return A: Sunday, January 17: ca. 10.00 PM
Return B: Monday, January 18: ca. 7.00 PM

Friday night depart from New York City into Adirondacks - a 4/5 hour ride:
Transport: Ford 15 passenger vans

Return to NYC late Sunday or Monday night
